Funniest site of the weekend: driving to dinner, jamming to Def Leppard in the new family truckster.

We are SO uncool.

Which One Are You?

It was recently brought to my attention that I may, or may not, be a Type A personality. So, in true Alpha Mom fashion, I turned to Google to answer the question. Upon taking this quiz, I was informed that I lean on the B side, but am very close to the middle of the road.

I'd love to know what your results are.

Thank you Dr. Mom...

We all know the miracle drug. But why is it that we need a prescription for it? I mean, it can be purchased for $4, so why make me miss work for a doctor appointment, or worse, pay an ER bill when I KNOW what's wrong?

It started Friday morning with Eddie throwing up hurling three times. Then, the fever started. He battled off & on for two days with Motrin. Then, the rash came. I was sure it was strep with scarlet fever. Eddie had it last year, & I've heard once you get them, you ALWAYS get them. Anyway, we finally made the executive decision for James to take him to the ER late Saturday night.

Diagnosis...strep & scarlet fever...DUH!

PreTeen Update...

Well, Natalie has answered my own question. After the condition in which my home was left during yesterday's "snow day," she will NOT be going to the movies with friends (at least not for 2 weeks). OMG! If I can't trust her to keep things in line at home (when she was reminded numberous times during the day), then I can't trust her out in the world.

Being the oldest sucks. You're responsible for EVERYTHING...

Burning Questions...

So, you have a daughter who will be 13 in about 2 months. She wants to start going to the movies with only her friends. Now, I know I started hanging without my parents at this age, but let's face it, "times have changed." I know she needs to spread her wings, but I also know the lying that was sometimes involved in "spending the night at a friends." Etc...

What's your opinion?

Secondly, we have a primary vote tomorrow. I want to be a Democrat, but I'm torn. I don't like to be prejudice, but Obama scares me. I'd hate to find out the hard way that he isn't who he says he is. I also don't know that I trust Hillary. I know her personal life doesn't directly relate to her ability to be President, but I don't like all the covering up of Bill's past & extra marital goings on. I constantly get a vibe that she's covering her azz, & not being completely honest with the public for her own advancement & well being.
